BELLADONNA COVE
It's been some time since I did much in the community, even though I've still been playing the game. While storytelling is still something I'm a little burnt out on, I still wanted to DO something. Recently, while messing around in a megahood, I was inspired to start this building project.
Each neighborhood has its own flavor and feel along with the unique sims and stories that populate them all. To me, each hood evokes a certain feel and I wanted to expand upon that with a series of houses inspired by each.
I really wanted to play with the mansard roofs that came with Mansion and Garden Stuff, so I began with Belladonna Cove. The neighborhood is designed with a variety of areas including an industrial or rundown section, but I tend to think of the richer families more. DeBateau, Rutherford, Cleveland, even the Cordial family all have an air of old money and style about them. I picture a refined, old neighborhood like you might see on the outskirts of Boston, where the money is only slightly older than the houses, but they keep up appearances.
- All houses are on flat 3x3 lots
- All houses are built for playability rather than just looks.
- This series was built with all expansions and stuff packs.
- Just Maxis, No CC was used (I despise downloading cc via lots).
- Every house has a basement storage area for bat boxes, sim blenders, pose boxes, etc.
- No driveways were placed, but each lot has room for one.
- Houses are minimally decorated - enough to provide inspiration, but not enough to annoy.
- All houses should be clean, but you should use clean installer anyway.
